I am a MD/PhD, board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, perinatal epidemiologist, and maternal-fetal medicine specialist. My research has substantively focused on the intersection between medical comorbidities in pregnancy and obstetrical complications. I have methodological expertise in conducting longitudinal studies and developing clinical prediction models using both statistical methods and machine learning. As a physician-scientist, my overarching goal is to improve maternal and child outcomes using innovative approaches that integrate clinical trials, perinatal epidemiology, and precision medicine.
Current research: developing predictive models for postpartum hemorrhage and severe maternal morbidity, improving perinatal outcomes for women with diabetes in pregnancy.
