IPR's annual Huber Lecture  was held each spring and featured a distinguished external speaker. 

The lecture was named after Joan Huber, a path-breaking scholar and influential academic leader who was an early benefactor of IPR in her roles as dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences, coordinating dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and university provost.
