Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

I am a health economist and health policy researcher, and my research focuses on evaluating the impacts of health-related policies on individuals' behaviors. I received my PhD degree in the field of health economics in September 2020, and in my doctoral dissertation, I utilized large-scale national population surveys (Current Population Survey and American Community Survey) to study the impacts of state and local paid sick leave laws on workers’ behaviors. I joined The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center as a Postdoctoral Scholar in September 2020, and since then I have expanded my health policy research with a focus on substance use behaviors. I am particularly interested in nicotine/tobacco product (NTP) use among the sexual and gender diverse (SGD) individuals populations. My future research plan involves analyzing data from the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study to examine the impacts of tobacco control policies on the disparities in NTP use among the SGD populations in the US.
