IPR Student Affiliate, Marisol Becerra, is the recipient of a Fisher College of Business (Real Estate Department) grant to support a portion of her dissertation research! Becerra is a student in the School of Environment and Natural Resources.

TITLE: "Environmental Justice for Whom? A Spatial Analysis of Brownfield Redevelopment and Gentrification in the United States"
The research proposal seeks to answer the question: Is brownfield redevelopment associated with racial and socioeconomic change in affected neighborhoods? If so, what is the nature of the change? The study would use EPA’s National Brownfield Remediation dataset and US Census data.
