Jan Box-Steffensmeier, SBS Divisional Dean and professor of political science, was selected to receive the 2016 Excellence in Mentoring Award from the Society for Political Methodology, the Political Methodology Section of the American Political Science Association (APSA). The award honors its members who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to mentoring and advising students, particularly those from underrepresented groups. A formal award presentation will be made at the APSA meeting on September 2nd.
