You are cordially invited to celebrate John Casterline’s contributions to the Institute for Population Research, the Department of Sociology, and Ohio State University
on the occasion of his retirement. Please RSVP by Friday, April 28th if you plan to attend. Families and other guests are welcome.

John Casterline came to Ohio State University in 2007 as the Robert T. Lazarus Professor of Population Studies in the Department of Sociology. He served as Director of the Institute for Population Research from 2009 to 2021, leading IPR through three successful center grant renewals from the National Institutes of Child Health and Human Development and the transition to university center status at OSU. John Casterline has further contributed to social science research at OSU through membership on oversight committees at the Center for Urban and Regional Analysis and the Mershon Center and through participation on search committees for
senior leadership.
