Title: Finding the needle in the haystack: Documenting the experiences of Wisconsinites considering abortion in the post-Dobbs landscape
Abstract: In light of the June 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision and its reversal of Roe v. Wade, it is more important than ever for researchers to document the effects of abortion restrictions on health, wellbeing, and socioeconomic outcomes. However, locating participants for such studies can be challenging, particularly if one wants to avoid the potential bias of recruiting solely from abortion clinics or funds. In this talk, I will share a multi-phase design and preliminary findings from a study of three different populations of pregnant Wisconsinites who report having considered abortion in the post-Dobbs landscape.
