Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Townshend Hall, room 038, 1885 Neil Ave Mall and Zoom

The first official Center for Aging Families event features Dr. Jill Suitor, Distinguished Professor of Sociology and faculty associate of the Center on Aging and the Life Course at Purdue University. Dr. Suitor will present "Maybe Mom Did Always Love You Best, But Does it Really Matter?” a virtual seminar on parental favoritism and disfavoritism.

In September of 2025, IPR affiliate Rin Reczek and IPR Director Sarah Hayford were awarded an infrastructure grant from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) to create the Center for Aging Families (CAF). CAF is a part of NIA's Centers on the Demography and Economics of Aging program. CAF brings together an interdisciplinary community of junior and senior scholars from Bowling Green State University, The Ohio State University, and Purdue University to foster new synergies that generate cutting-edge research on the changing demography of aging families, aging family health, and health disparities in family aging.

Attend a group viewing that will be hosted in Townshend 038 (IPR seminar room) or register using the Zoom link below.
