Elizabeth Cooksey, Associate Director of the Center for Human Resource Research and Professor of Sociology, was elected as President of the Society for Longitudinal and Life Course Studies at their annual meeting held in Paris, October 2012.  The Society has members from 26 countries worldwide and her term of office runs for two years. http://www.longstudies.longviewuk.com/pages/governance.shtml
