The Institute for Population Research Graduate Student Organization (IPRGSO) has elected its officers for the 2026-27 academic year.

The newly elected IPRGSO officers are:

  • President: Taehyun Kim, Department of Sociology
  • Vice President: Jierui Li, Department of Sociology
  • Secretary: Seungyeon Yang, Department of Sociology
  • Treasurer: Jeremiah Nunez, Department of Sociology

The fully student-run organization supports graduate students who focus on population research and related disciplines from across The Ohio State University.

Each year, IPRGSO hosts professional development programming on topics such as funding opportunities, non-academic career pathways, and communicating research to broader audiences. The organization also connects students across departments and research areas, creating opportunities for collaboration and peer support. In addition to its professional programming, IPRGSO regularly organizes social events that help build a welcoming and supportive interdisciplinary community of emerging population scholars.

The newly elected officers will lead the organization during the coming academic year, organizing events, supporting member engagement, and representing graduate student interests within the Institute for Population Research. Officers are elected annually through a spring nomination and voting process and play a key role in shaping programming and activities for IPRGSO members.

Graduate students interested in becoming involved with IPRGSO are encouraged to join the organization by either filling out this registration form or emailing IPRGSO. Membership is open to all Ohio State graduate students regardless of department or program.

Congratulations to our new officers! We're excited to see what you plan for the upcoming year.
