This session, the first of a two-part series, will focus on strategies for working with text datasets in R. We will explore the tidytext package, which provides many useful tools for loading and preparing text data, and we will walk through several examples to illustrate the preliminary steps needed to conduct further analysis.
At the end of the session participants will leave with code to clean their scraped textual data and understand the necessary planning to clean textual data.
