Title: A Machine Learning Approach for Identifying Patients with Unmet Health-Related Social Needs from EHR Data

Abstract: Screening for unmet health-related social needs (HRSNs) is a critical step towards addressing these nonmedical health risk factors. However, most providers lack the tools and resources to screen large patient populations for unmet HRSNs. In this seminar, I will present results from our ongoing project that has sought to apply Machine Learning (ML) techniques to identify patients with unmet HRSNs using structured EHR data and contextual social determinants of health data.

Register once to have access via Zoom to this seminar and the full 2025-26 seminar series.
