Abstract: Despite biomedical breakthroughs in HIV treatment and prevention, the success of Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) hinges on a fragile behavioral component: strict daily medication adherence. This presentation explores the syndemic forces threatening the HIV care continuum, specifically focusing on the intersection of trauma, hazardous alcohol use, and geographic disparities.
