We are happy to announce the first event of the Institute for Population Research Graduate Students Organization (IPRGSO). For those new to the organization, our goal is to connect graduate students across campus interested in population research broadly defined.
Our first event, "Meet and Sweet", will be on October 10 from 1:45 pm to 2:30 pm in the IPR conference room, Townshend Hall 038.
This event will follow the IPR seminar involving graduate students' presentations ( https://ipr.osu.edu/events/ipr-seminar-series-graduate-student-presentations), and will be an informal setting to introduce each other, meet other graduate students interested in population research, and have a delicious cake! IPR affiliates Parvati Singh (College of Public Health, Division of Epidemiology) and Frank Reanne (Department of Sociology, Interim Director of IPR) will participate in the event to share their experiences with population research from an interdisciplinary perspective.
We hope to see many of you and foster a friendly, interdisciplinary environment!
