The Rise and Fall of the Working–Class Family

The working-class family peaked in the mid-twentieth century and has been in decline since then. This presentation will discuss the factors behind the decline and explore what might be done to assist the young adults who we might call working-class today as they enter the labor market, have children, and form families.
