SOCWORK 8406: Mixed Methods Research in Social and Health Sciences

Course provides an overview of mixed methods approaches, with an emphasis on application to social and health sciences research. Discusses the history and philosophy underlying mixed methods research with a focus on the epistemological underpinnings of mixed methods designs and their components. Research traditions incorporated under the umbrellas of quantitative/qualitative methods are considered.
Prereq: 8401 and 8402, and Doct standing in SocWork; or Grad standing, and permission of instructor.
