Broadly speaking, I’m interested in the role that stigma plays in the transmission of infectious disease. My dissertation topic focuses on people who inject drugs and how drug-use stigma impacts access to the HIV care continuum. I am also interested in exploring whether resilience mediates this relationship and if this could be utilized by intervention efforts.
