Dr. Maria Gallo is broadly interested in HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, contraception, infertility, maternal and child health, global health and clinical trials. She has published extensively on the use of semen biomarkers for improving the methodology of research on HIV/STI and pregnancy. She previously worked as an epidemiologist at CDC, FHI 360 and Ipas and has worked in international settings including Jamaica, Madagascar, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Nicaragua.
